What is a GSTIN?
A GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification Number) is a 15-character alphanumeric identifier assigned to every business registered under India's GST regime. The first two digits encode the state, the next ten are the entity's PAN, character 13 is the registration serial within that PAN and state, character 14 is always "Z", and character 15 is a checksum.
